Charles E. Kashmark

Charles Edward Kashmark was born in Edison Township in Swift County on April 12, 1948, the son of John and Evelyn (Nelson) Kashmark. He attended school in Milan and graduated from Appleton High School in 1966. Charlie studied Mechanical Drafting at the Canby Vocational Technical College until he enlisted in the US Army in 1968. He was proud to have served in the Army and to have completed a tour of duty in Vietnam. Charlie was honorably discharged after 3 years. In 1972 he was united in marriage to Judy Werpy and they were blessed with two sons, Chad and Ryan. He was employed by Westinghouse Elevators and Little Dearborn Antique Ford Parts in Minneapolis. Charlie had a great talent for woodworking, enjoyed hunting with family and friends, helping friends with farming, and "carrying his mother in a chair" with his brothers. Charlie and his brothers had a gift for making you laugh. He was a proud member of Palmer Lake VFW Post and served as Post Surgeon. Charlie passed away on July 28, 2012 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. He had attained 64 years of age.He is survived by sons: Chad (Kristy) Kashmark of Savage and Ryan (Amber) Kashmark of Richfield; grandchildren, Cody, Charlie, Grace, Sydney and Emma Kashmark; siblings: Dave (Donna) Kashmark of Kandiyohi, Darlene (Bill) Gavin of Crystal, RosAnne Nicholson of Benson, Shari (John) Conroy of Brooklyn Park, Lance Kashmark of Benson, Patsy (Dick) Krebs of Appleton, Terry (Kari) Kashmark of Champlin, and Michelle (Kevin) Hamann of Shafer; aunts: Clara Reuss of Appleton and Lorraine Kashmark of Richfield; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; and special friends Gary and Sally Archambault of Brooklyn Center.He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Evelyn; sister, Deanna; great-niece Jennifer; grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Blessed be the memory of Charles "Charlie" Kashmark.
