Louise Hazel Nordby was born November 14, 1924 in Murdock Minnesota, the daughter of Hans and Josephine (Oein) Hanson. She was baptized as a 7th Day Adventist. She grew up in rural Murdock and attended school through the 10th grade. On November 30, 1946, Louise was united in marriage to Lloyd Maurice Nordby. This union was blessed with three children and over 30 years of marriage. Louise was a housewife and cared for the children. They lived in rural Benson and Wilbur, Oregon. Among the things she enjoyed were fishing, crossword puzzles, and bird watching. Louise was called from this life on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Appleton Nursing Home. She attained the age of 85 years, 2 months, and 20 days. Louise is survived by her sons: Jesse (Beverly) Nordby of Benson and Bradley Nordby and his fiance Alisha Carter of Appleton; three grandchildren: Jesse Nordby, Jr., Jeffery Nordby, and Janil Mondor; seven great grandchildren: Jesse Nordby, III, Trevon Nordby, Daindre Nordby, Bo Mondor and Kristy Mondor; and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her son, Randolph Nordby; her husband, Lloyd in 1977; her parents, Hans and Josephine; five sisters; and five brothers.
