Joyce E. Pederson

Joyce Elaine Pederson was born September 7, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Austin Newell and Dorothy Glazelle (Sibert) Scott. She grew up in Mound, Minnesota and graduated from Mound High School. On September 17, 1966, Joyce was united in marriage to Phillip Donald Pederson at Fairview Covenant Church in Mound. This union was blessed with four children and 43 years of marriage. Joyce spent her time raising the children and caring for the home. She also worked for Amoco, Sandy's Café and Future Products in Benson. Joyce participated in youth groups and 4-H. Among the things she enjoyed were reading, fishing, playing electronic games, crafting, and taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting and meeting people for breakfast every morning. Joyce was called from this life on Friday, January 8, 2010 at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. She attained the age of 66 years, 4 months and 1 day. Joyce is survived by her husband Phillip of Princeton; children: Donald (Lisa) Pederson of Princeton, Dean Pederson of Burnsville, and Daphne (Daryl) Meyer of Apple Valley; nine grandchildren: AnDrew Pederson, Kaytlin Pederson, Devon Pederson, Cody Pederson, Hope-Anne Pederson, Trinity Pederson, Samuel Pederson, Austin Meyer, and Alexis Meyer; siblings: Roy Scott of Hinkley, Lois (Walter) Hanson of Heathsville, VA, and Cheryl (Sid) Christensen of New Ulm; and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Austin and Dorothy; and a son Scott Pederson.
