Adeline Florence Olson was born on November 1, 1923, in West Bank Township, Swift County, Minnesota, to parents Fred and Martha (Berven) Ostby. She was baptized and confirmed at West Bank Lutheran Church by Rev. C. T. Jenson. She grew up in West Bank Township. On October 22, 1943, Adeline was united in marriage to Florien Olson at West Bank Lutheran Church by Rev. C. T. Jenson. Together they were able to share in 40 years of marriage. This union was blessed with four children. They lived on a farm in West Bank Township and raised their family there. She was a homemaker and was a Tupperware dealer for a time. She also worked at Fingerhut, the Watson Doll Factory, and for Prairie Five in Benson. Adeline enjoyed going to coffee with friends, quilting, crocheting, embroidery, playing cards, and bingo. Adeline's first love was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of Big Bend Lutheran Church and WELCA, and the Danvers Senior Citizens. Adeline was called from this life on Friday, September 11, 2009, at the Swift County Benson Hospital. She attained the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 11 days. Adeline was survived by her four children; Doris (Bob) Larkin of Two Harbors, Arnie (Bonnie) Olson of Fargo, North Dakota, Sherman (Anne) Olson of Danvers, and Russell (Deb) Olson of Danvers; eight grand children; Shane (Beth) Williamson of Appleton, Wisconsin, Jessica (Brian) Miles of Buffalo, Thomas (Janae Skarsten) Olson of Danvers, Jared (Teresa Cotter) Olson of Monticello, Brady (Rachel) Olson of Benson, Kristen Olson of Marshall, Jenna Olson of Fargo, and Bergen Olson of Danvers; three great grandchildren; Ryan and Kelsey Williamson, and Noah Miles; and one sister in law; Beatrice Steinke of Appleton. She was preceded in death by her husband Florien in 1984, her parents Fred and Martha Ostby, and two brothers, Elmer and Arthur.
