Dustin Mitchell Tollefson was born October 15, 1984 in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Glen B. and Judy E. (Miller) Tollefson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Dustin grew up in Benson and attended school at Benson High School and Alexandria Tech. Dustin had lived and worked for a short time in Alexandria. Dustin's passion was found in watching and playing all sports, especially with his older brother Daniel, with whom he was very close. He not only enjoyed challenging his brother to games such as basketball, but he could also talk a good game. Dustin's knowledge of sports was endless. He loved all his nieces and nephews and his two dogs, Chance and Chewy. Dustin was called from this life on Friday, January 7th at his home in Benson. He attained the age of 26 years, two months and 22 days. Dustin is survived by his mother: Judy Tollefson of Benson; his grandmother: Elaine Miller of Benson; brothers: Michael Bacon of Minneapolis, Dean Tollefson of Benson, Duane Tollefson of Spicer, Dennis (Mary Jo) Tollefson of East Bethel and Daniel Tollefson of Benson; sisters: Melondy (Mark) Bacon of Brooklyn Park, Jodie (Ron) Burgett of Richfield, Shannon (Dale) Bacon of Brooklyn Center, Alonah (Kim) Ahrndt of Castle Rock, CO and Kimberly (Steve) Benson of Benson; nephews: Zachary Gallagher, Joshua Ahrndt, Brandon Ahrndt, Maxwell Benson and Tyler Tollefson; nieces: Shelby Tollefson and Kayla Benson. Dustin was preceded in death by his father, Glen Tollefson in December of 2000; grandparents: Evelyn and Ray Tollefson and Glen Miller.
