Beatrice Corrin Hoverson was born October 25, 1918, in Benson, Minnesota to Carl and Clara (Dokkebakken) Syverson. She was called from this life on Sunday evening, June 17th, at Southview Manor in Benson. Beatrice had attained the age of 93 years, 7 months and 23 days. She grew up in Benson and Swift Falls. Beatrice was baptized in the Lutheran faith at her parent's home on December 13, 1918 by Pastor G. G. Beito and confirmed at East Zion Lutheran Church by Pastor Palmer. She attended Rolling Fork Township at District 64. On June 30th, 1940, Beatrice was united in marriage to Jerold Willard Hoverson at Pastor Beito's home in Benson. To this union one son and one daughter were born. Together Beatrice and Jerold were able to share in more than fifty-three years of marriage. Beatrice was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Ladies' Aid, the Smorgesbord Committee, and a Girl Scouts Leader. Beatrice enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Lake Minnewaska. She loved gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and helping with church functions. Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Deb (David) Anderson of Minneapolis; grandchildren: Katie Anderson of Minneapolis, and Joshua Anderson of Cambridge, Maryland; nieces and nephews: Kevin, Randy, and Jeff Syverson, Lois Brecht, Mona Gregerson, Wanda Martinson, Kenneth Hoverson, Jr., Mary Ellen Graham; and many other relatives and friends. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Clara; her husband, Jerry on April 3, 1994; her son, Dennis on November 29, 1999; brothers: Orin, Luvern, and Kenneth; nephew, Terry Syverson; brother and sister-in-laws: Marriette and Verna Syverson, Kenneth and Eva Hoverson, and Martin and Loytle Dimpfl.
