Dorothy Louise Archer was born March 26, 1931 in Murdock, MN, the daughter of Francis and Florence Archer. She was baptized and confirmed at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock. She grew up on a farm South of Murdock. (Dublin Township) She went to country school, Murdock High School, and then attended Moorhead Teachers College. On July 7, 1956 she was united in marriage to Eugene Hippen. They were blessed with 9 children and 55 years of marriage. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and doing the crypto quip in the morning paper. Later in life she enjoyed watching Matlock and game shows. She especially enjoyed being with her Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. Dorothy was called from this life on Friday, February 24, 2012, at the Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar. She attained the age of 80 years, 10 months, and 29 days. Dorothy is survived by her husband Eugene Hippen of Murdock; her children: Dennis (Jodi) Hippen of Shakopee, MN, Dean (Karen) Hippen of Prior Lake, MN, Tim (Monica) Hippen of Benson, MN, Jim (Kim) Hippen of Murdock, MN, John Hippen of Willmar, MN, Luann Hippen of Willmar, MN, Mary Hippen of West St. Paul, MN, Nancy (Linden) Maanum of Benson, MN and Edward (Karyn) Hippen of Thompson, ND. 13 Grandchildren: Jeremy, Jessica, Amanda, Stephanie, Matt, Lisa, Jacob, Taylor, Joshua, Adam, Matt, Ben, and Noah, 2 Great-grandchildren Devon and Dylan. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Margaret Casey, brother in-laws Jack Casey and Jerry Walsh, daughter in-law Lynette Hippen.
