Delores Mae Jaeger was born December 29, 1937, to Sam and Caroline (Sorenson) Bailey. She was baptized at the Congregational Church and confirmed at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Delores attended school through the eighth grade at Clontarf.On August 20, 1960, she married DuWayne Orville Jaeger at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Delores was self-employed with her husband in the 1970's with Jaeger's Cleaning Service. After this she worked through Swift County Human Services cleaning for elderly until retiring in the later 1980's.She was a wonderful baker and cook. She loved making lefse with her husband as they were a team when it came to making lefse. She also loved to embroider, cross stitch, garden and can vegetables with DuWayne. She loved angels and collected many of them; including dolls from around the world. Over the years she was a cubscout leader when her boys were younger. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She served on the Golden Age Committee for a number of years and was a Sunday School teacher in her younger years. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.Delores was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always there to nurture everyone and to make them feel at home and part of the family. She enjoyed spending quality time with her children, all of her grandchildren, her sister and her family and friends. Family was very important to her. Her dog JJ was her companion at home.Delores died on Wednesday, February 15th, at the Swift County-Benson Hospital. She had attained 74 years, and 16 days of age.She is survived by her daughter, Becky Mast (Ken Halverson) of Benson; three sons: Wayne (Diane) Jaeger and Andy Jaeger both of Benson, and Todd (Teresa) Jaeger of New London; twelve grandchildren: Joseph Mast, Jr. (Kelly Wedel), Nathan (Heather) Mast, Kristi (Dustin) Baker, Brandon Jaeger, Nicholas Jaeger, Allison Jaeger, Zachary Jaeger, Ryan Strickland, Zoe Strickland, Brandi (Jesse) Bolles, Kari (Ryan Meyer) Halverson, and Laine (Ricco) Barlow; seven great-grandchildren: McKayla and Karter Baker, Bryce and Branson Mast, James Mast, Kyler Meyer, and Lilly Bolles; her sister, Evelyn Denzer, of Benson; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Bonnie Jaeger of Benson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Caroline Bailey, her husband, DuWayne in 2009, her son, DuWayne, Jr., in 1962, her grandson, Benjamin Mast in 2010; her parents-in-law, Andrew and Hilda Jaeger; her brothers and sisters; and her step-greatgranddaughter, Kadyn Halverson in 2011.
