Anthony (Tony) John Dittes was born on January 23, 1992, at Willmar, Minnesota to parents Timothy and Jodi Dittes. Anthony was baptized as an infant at St. John's Catholic Church in Appleton. Anthony attended the Appleton -Milan Elementary School and Lac qui Parle Valley High School.Tony lived in Appleton and has worked at Don's Food Pride since age 15. He was very friendly to the customers and was known for his infectious smile. He enjoyed helping Mike Johnson at Team Mad Customs in his spare time and also enjoyed a summer of employment for Viessman Trucking under the supervision of David (Stub) Viessman.Tony loved his son, Teagen, and spent a lot of time with him. He enjoyed all kids and went out of his way to entertain them. Tony loved to dirt bike, snowmobile, ice fish, and go to the casino. He especially enjoyed doing these things with his friends. Tony was a dedicated friend and was always willing to help out when needed. He loved to fix his truck or bikes. He truly loved his dog, Mack and he could often be found snuggling up with Mack and Jourdan's dog, Chopper. Tony was a member of the RidgeRunners Snowmobile Club.Tony died on Thursday evening, December 29th, as the result of a vehicle accident. He had attained 19 years, 11 months, and 6 days of age.Tony is survived by his parents, Tim and Jodi Dittes, of Appleton; his sister Jourdan Erickson and nephew Mason Torgerson of Appleton; special friend Carissa Hanson and their son Teagen of Appleton; grandparents John and Janet Ruether of Montevideo; Donald Dittes and Jeanette Hanson of Appleton; Harriet Dittes of Prinsburg; great-grandparents Lizzetta Buchele of Milbank, SD; and Betty Hanson of Appleton; aunts and uncles Doug Dittes; Brenda (Joel) Kavanagh; Suzy (Dave) Bucholz; Cindy (Chris) Carl; Brian Kittleson; Jim (Lori) Ruether; Jeanne (Dennis) Giaimo; and Joy (Jerry) Kack; cousins Jamie (Jon) Bohner and their son Jaden; Shane and Tyler Ruether; Tom, Andrew, and Halle Giaimo; Jett and Jessa Kack; Dylan, Riley, and Briana Dittes; Danielle, Devin, and Zachary Bucholz; and Ashton and Gavin Carl; and several other relatives and friends.He is preceded in death by brother Jonathon Scott Erickson; cousins Craig Sachs; Jim Albrecht; Ryan Holzheimer; Curt Baldwin; Lee Meyer; and Joshua Baldwin; great-grandparents John and Emma Dittes; Harry Buchele; Albert and Nellie Moe; and Joseph and Josephine Ruether.
