Randall Lee Bakeberg was born September 17, 1950, in Ortonville to Norman and Marion (Winger) Bakeberg. He was baptized on October 15, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Odessa and confirmed at Berea Lutheran Church in Richfield on May 23, 1965. Randall attended school in Correll and graduated from Lincoln High School in Bloomington in 1969. He then attended Canby Vocational School and received his Associate of Arts Degree in automotive parts management.On November 15, 1975, he was married to Sandra Kay Maunu at Frederick, South Dakota by Pastor Goldammer. Randall worked as an auto parts manager in the metro area before returning to the family farm where he farmed for many years and raised cattle. He also worked at Ortonville Auto & Supply as a parts manager and J-and-J Amoco as the store manager. Randall was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church where he was a voter and also served as trustee. He also was a member of the Appleton Jaycees. His greatest love was spending time with the family and his beloved dog, Dakota. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and having early morning coffee with friends, and tinkering on various projects.Randall died at his home in Ortonville on Sunday, October 23. He had attained 61 years, 1 month, and 6 days of age. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of Ortonville; four children: Justin (Rachel) Bakeberg of Correll, Hatti (Ryan) Moeller of Inver Grove Heights, Kaylee (John) Ball of Lakeville, and Megan (Nicholas) Hastad of Vancouver, WA; five grandchildren: Natalie Ann, Avery Lauraine, Savana Kay, Maraya Annett, and Carolynn Jean; two brothers: Douglas (Julia) Bakeberg of Chaska, and Charles Bakeberg of Hopkins; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.He is preceded in death by his parents: Norman Bakeberg, and Paul and Marion Schwandt; and his uncle, Robert Winger.
