Eloise Lillian Skare was born April 11, 1915 in Ray, North Dakota, the daughter of William and Edna (Maxwell) Fearon. She was baptized on August 22, 1915 in Ray, North Dakota, and confirmed into the Christian faith on June 15, 1930 in Benson, Minnesota. She attended school in Benson. On May 19, 1933, Eloise was united in marriage to Theodore Skare. This union was blessed with four children and 55 years of marriage. The family lived in Swift Falls, and Eloise worked for many years, both full and part time, at Northside Auto until she retired at the age of 90. Previous to working at Northside Auto, she worked at the Swift Falls Creamery for many years. Eloise was active in the Ladies Aid at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. She loved following Twins Baseball and Viking Football. Eloise was called from this life on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. She attained the age of 96 years, 3 months and 17 days. Eloise is survived by her children: Ted Jr. (Verona) Skare of Burnsville, Roger (Jean) Skare of St. Michael, Carol (Carl) Boettcher of Apple Valley, and Terry (Carol) Skare of Coon Rapids; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband Theodore in 1988; her parents; three sisters and one brother. Memorials will be designated to the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Swift Falls.
