Stanley Jeitz

August 15, 1944 — July 20, 2011

Stanley Junior Jeitz was born August 15, 1944 in Pope County, Minnesota, the son of Stanley John and Sue Florence (Harstad) Jeitz. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at West Zion Lutheran Church in rural Hancock. He grew up in Hoff Township of Pope County and attended grade school at District #29. Stanley graduated from Benson High School and went on to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK. Stanley served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963 - 1967. After returning from the service, he farmed and worked for American Airlines. Among the things he enjoyed were watching Twins baseball and other sports, hunting, fishing, and working crossword puzzles. Stanley was called from this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Swift County Benson Hospital. He attained the age of 66 years, 11 months and 5 days. Stanley is survived by his siblings: Bradford Jeitz of Hancock, Lamont (Norma) Jeitz of Starbuck, Michael Jeitz of Starbuck, and Patti Jeitz of Benson; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents Stanley and Sue.
