Ruth Anna Roiland was born July 19, 1915, at Plainview, MN to August and Bertha (Reiter) Hansen. At age one she moved with her family to a farm southwest of Louisburg. She attended school at Louisburg and Bellingham and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1933.On April 16, 1944 she married Arnold Roiland in Bellingham. They farmed on farms in the Louisburg area. In 1952 they purchased a farm near Milan where they lived until they retired to Appleton in 1979.She is survived by five children: Peter Roiland of Appleton, Neil (Mary) Roiland of Deerfield, WI, Kathy Manning of Sarasota, FL, Lana (Tom) Cooper of McMinniville, OR, and Tom (Robin) Roiland of St. Cloud; son-in-law, Ron Skovly, of Nevada; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold, on September 6, 1986; daughter, Emily Skovly; daughter-in-law, Lida Roiland; son-in-law, Noel Manning; two sisters: Leora Koeckeritz and Verene Strege; and six brothers: Edgar, Alvin, Art, Wilmer, Roland, and Charles Hansen.
