Ronald Syverson

Ronald Dale Syverson was born November 3, 1935 in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Orin Sigvard and Pansy Faye (Buroker) Syverson. He was baptized and confirmed in Benson. He attended school in Benson, and continued his education in Minneapolis, studying electronics. Ronald served his country in the United States Navy from 1953 - 56 at the end of the Korean War. On December 29, 1956, Ronald was united in marriage to Gloria Janice Stay at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Benson. The couple was blessed with four children and 54 years of marriage. They lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Cleveland, Ohio, where Ronald worked as a computer technician. Ronald was a member of the Ohio Norsemen and the Floyd B. Parks DD884 Association. Among the things he enjoyed were fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his children and twelve grandchildren. Ronald was called from this life on February 17, 2011 at Ennis Court Nursing Home in Lakewood, Ohio. He attained the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 14 days. Ronald is survived by his wife Gloria of Ohio; his children: Theron Syverson of Monroeville, OH, Lorin Syverson of Olympia, WA, Philip (Leona) Syverson of Spencer, OH, and Marie (David) Sigmon of Valley City, OH; twelve grandchildren: Jessica, Ronald II, Erik, Michael, Jason, Keith, Kelsi, Calvin, Sarah, Mary, Philip Jr., and John; his brothers: Philip (Carol) Syverson of Urbandale, IA and Michael (Linda) Syverson of Blaine; and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Orin and Pansy.
