Michael Dean Witte

Michael Dean Witte was born on April 3, 1969, in Edina, to Darol and Miriam (Farmer) Witte. He was baptized and confirmed at Golden Valley Lutheran Church in Golden Valley. Mike attended Hopkins High School.Presently he was working for West-Con as a chemical applicator. He enjoyed enjoyed his cats, Jasper and Lucy, farming, race cars, and restoring old tractors. He was a member of Heritage Hill Antique Farm Power and the Rolaag Steam Thresher's Association. Mike was a loving and caring son. He was a hard working and very methodical person.Mike died on Friday evening, January 30th, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar after a long battle with cancer. He had attained 39 years, 8 months, and 29 days of age.He is survived by his parents, Darol and Miriam Witte, of Golden Valley; sister, Machelle (Todd) Witte-Johnson of Minneapolis; six aunts and uncles: Donald Witte of Appleton, Orville Gulden of Richfield, Donna Witte of Appleton, Deanna (Weldy) Hodge of Watson, Marlene (Lewis) Olson of St. Cloud, and Lois Richter of Bloomington; cousin, Jackie Sever, many cousins and extended family.He is preceded in death by his grandparents: August and Carrie Witte and George and Luella Farmer; aunt, Carol Gulden; and uncles: August Witte, Jr., and Alfred Witte.
