Deborah Ann Hansen was born April 7, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Mayo and Darlene (Jesse) Chance. She was baptized on June 10, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Moines, and confirmed into the Christian faith in 1967 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Aurora, Minnesota. She grew up on the Iron Range near Aurora and attended school at Aurora, Hoyt Lakes, Canby Vo-Tech, and SMSU. On September 5, 1981, Deborah was united in marriage to Allen Frank Hansen at Nicolia Lutheran Church in Canby. They were blessed with two children. Together, Deborah and Allen were able to share in 27 years of marriage. The family lived on a hobby farm near Danvers, and Deborah worked in Ortonville at the Natural Resources Conservation Services. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Among the things she enjoyed were motorcycling, raising plants, and spending time with family. She was called from this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at her residence. She attained the age of 55 years 3 months and 14 days. Deborah is survived by her husband Allen of Danvers; two children: Cole (Allison) Hansen of Leander, TX and Jade Hansen of Hagen, MN; one grandson, Andrew Hansen; her parents, Mayo and Darlene Chance of Hoyt Lakes; siblings: Bob (Kathleen) Chance of Aurora, David Chance of Duluth, Donna (Gary) Sharpo of St. Paul, and Duane Chance of St. Paul; and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Herman and Anna Jesse; and her parents-in-law, Frank and Bernice Hansen.
