Charles I. Heinrich, 90, formerly of Morris, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in Sheridan, Wyo. Funeral services are pending with Zniewski Funeral Home Vaala Chapel and the First Lutheran Church of Morris. Charles I. Heinrich was born Aug. 25, 1919 on a farm near Donnelly. He attended country school until the 8th grade and then continued to help his parents on the farm for a number of years. He married Grace Johnson Sept. 3, 1946 at the First Lutheran Church in Morris. Charles worked at the Shell gas station in Morris; he briefly owned the Hilltop night club in Glenwood and drove truck for Clifford Johnson. He eventually owned his own trucking company for 46 years until he retired at 71. After his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling to Wyoming to visit their daughter and her family. He took care of his wife, Grace, until her death in 1995. Shortly afterwards he moved to the West Central Christian Homes. He was a member of First Lutheran Church and was a Shriner. In his later years, Charles enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing cards, and ice fishing.He is survived by two children, Chuck (Gail) Heinrich of Morris, Renee (Mick) Conroy of Big Horn, Wyo.; four grandchildren, Arik and Matt Kolden of Wyoming; Lindsey Heinrich of Alexandria and Luke Smith of New Orleans, La. and a sister, Phyllis Dyer of Morris.Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, infant son, brothers, Julius and Fredrick, and parents.
