Patricia Louise Burns was born September 7, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Stanley and Agnes Mary (Baht) Cunningham. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Paul. She grew up in St. Paul and attended grade school at St. Michael's, and graduated from Humboldt High School. In December of 1961, Pat was united in marriage to Richard Paul Burns in St. Paul. This union was blessed with four children and 7 years of marriage. Richard passed away in 1968. Pat spent her time taking care of the home and raising the children. She was active in school and church activities. Pat loved to cook and bake, she was an avid reader, and she enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins baseball games. She also enjoyed walking, volunteering at Prairie Five. Pat was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. She was called from this life on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Benson. She attained the age of 82 years, 10 months and 15 days. Pat is survived by her children: Michaelene (Dan) Frederickson of Coon Rapids, Thomas Burns of Willmar, and Colleen Burns (Steve Klang) of Benson; three grandchildren: Timothy Koch, Nicole Grothe, and Shauntae Burns; three great-grandchildren: Zaccory Koch, Bradon Ruecker, and McKenna Burns; two sisters-in-law: Marge Cunningham of West St. Paul and Arletta Cunningham of St. Paul. Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard; her daughter, Victoria Koch; her parents, Stanley and Agnes; and brothers: Daniel, Robert, Richard, Thomas, and David.
