Benjamin Mast was born June 28, 1994, in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Joseph Lynn and Becky Mae (Jaeger) Mast. He was baptized on October 16, 1994 by Pastor Paul Haugen and confirmed into the Christian faith on October 26, 2008 by Pastor Dennis McManus at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson. He presently was a sophomore at Benson High School, and has lived in Benson his entire life. Ben's hobbies and interests were many. The most obvious was fishing and hunting with his dad, Ken and his brothers. He also went with his uncles on their annual trout fishing weekend. He was the only one who was always gonna catch the "big one", or shoot the biggest buck. He was very active in wrestling and football, and collected sports cards. He loved to ride his 4-wheeler and his new snowmobile. Ben often went on the truck with his dad and Mary and enjoyed going to different states to sight-see. He also enjoyed woodworking with his dad and helping him and his brothers with carpentry projects. Ben enjoyed gaming with his best friends, and they would spend countless hours at each others houses. Ben's love for his family and friend was very obvious. He absolutely adored his niece and nephews. He was always playing with them and making them laugh. He had a great sense of humor, and loved to play practical jokes on his brothers, cousins and their friends. His family and friends were very important in his life, his heart was always so big and his arms were always wide open for hugs. Ben was called from this life on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, attaining the age of 15 years, 10 months and 7 days. He will be deeply missed by all.
