Alice Hess, age 86, of Holloway, passed away Saturday morning, October 8, 2022, in her home. A private, family burial will be held in Church of the Visitation Cemetery in Danvers, at a later date.
Alice Vangeline Hess was born March 18, 1936, the daughter of Michael and Balbina (Sadergaski) Rudnick. She was the youngest of three children: Michael, Clarence, and Alice. Alice was raised in the Holloway and Appleton area, where she attended school. On December 3, 1953, she was united in marriage to Harold Hess. This union was blessed with 43 years together and three daughters: Rita, Betty, and Cheryl.
During her working years Alice held many types of jobs: bartending, factory worker, and driving-truck with Harold, just to name a few. She loved being outside mowing her lawn, gardening, working with her flowers, fishing and in her younger years, riding horse. Alice loved her family and greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Alice passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, October 8, 2022, in her home. She attained 86 years, 6 months, and 20 days of age. Alice is survived by her daughters: Rita (Robert) Wilson of Odgen, UT, Betty (Dale) Rinkenberger of Morris, and Cheryl Hess of Holloway; 5 grandchildren: Greg (Brandi) Baumgartner, Paul (Cassie) Baumgartner, Steve Rinkenberger, Jennifer (Scott) VerSteeg, and Eric (Courtney) Rinkenberger; 14 great-grandchildren: James, Kyler, Haley, Tegen, Audi, Kash, Mila, Bella, Sawyer, Clover, Skye, Baylee, Blake, and Avery; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hess in 1997; her parents, Michael and Balbina Rudnick; her grandson, Rick Baumgartner; and her brothers: Michael Rudnick and Clarence Rudnick.
