Amy Agnes Fahl

Amy A. Fahl of Benson died on Wednesday afternoon, February 9, 2022, at Scandi Haven Village in Benson, Minnesota. A private celebration of Amy’s life will be held later. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Benson Golf Course. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Amy Agnes Fahl was born on May 1, 1925, in Graceville, Minnesota, the daughter of Leslie and Amy Belle (Brown) Spaulding. She was baptized and joined the Methodist Church in 1935 in Chokio. She grew up on the farm in Chokio and attended the Chokio School grades 1 – 12. In seventh grade she joined the tumbling team, which was the only team in the area asked to perform for many events. She was also on the tap-dancing team and was a cheerleader.

On December 10, 1943, Amy married Harry J Osborn in Watertown, South Dakota. Harry passed away August 1, 1965. On June 3, 1967, Amy married John E. Fahl at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson.

John and Amy traveled to every state except for North and South Carolina, and New Mexico. They spent 35 winters in Harlingen Texas. Amy enjoyed dancing, playing cards with friends, and most of all being on the golf course. She loved spending time with her family. She wrote poems for various occasions with one being published in the Senior Perspective.  She was called from this life on Wednesday afternoon, February 9, 2022, at the Scandia Haven Village in Benson. She attained the age of 96 years, 9 months, and 8 days.

She is survived by her children; Barbara (John) Siedlecki of Blaine, Joan Moline of Benson, Linda Christenson of Blaine, Terry (Terri Ann) Osborn of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Diane Bahr (special friend Bruce Nelson)  of Blaine; six grandchildren Scott (Jeni) Bahr , Wendi (Joe) Giuliano, Matt (Christine) Bahr, Dori (Nick) Crawford, Kim Moline, and Zachary Osborn; seven great grandchildren, Hannah Moline, Austin Bahr, Jessica Bahr, Sophia Bahr, Bronte Bahr, Oliver Bahr, and Jared Crawford; one great great grandchild Luca Van De Steeg; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents Les and Amy Spaulding, her husbands Harry Osborn and John Fahl, a son Doug Osborn; brothers Kermit, Lee, Harvey, Floyd, and Glen; and a son-in-law Harry Bahr. This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it.
