Betty Yvonne Stock

Betty Stock, age 90, of Appleton, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020, in Appleton Area Health-Hospital.  Due to CoVid-19, a private funeral service will be held.  Pastor John Ramsbacher will officiate.  Burial will be in Appleton City Cemetery.

Betty Yvonne Stock was born November 29, 1929, in Edison Township, Minnesota, the daughter of Maurice and Luella (Running) Bryan.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Betty grew up in Appleton and graduated from Appleton High School, Class of 1947.  She then completed one year at St. Cloud College. On June 10, 1948, Betty was united in marriage to Harry A. Stock at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Shible by Rev. Gierke. They lived and farmed in the Holloway area for many years and then moved to Appleton in1987.

Betty worked at Carlson Dolls and was a volunteer in the Grandparent Program at the Elementary School.  She was a member of Shible Ladies Aid and the VFW Auxiliary. Among the many things she enjoyed were bingo and morning coffee with friends.

Betty passed away November 27, 2020, at Appleton Area Health Services – Care Center.  She attained the age of 90 years, 11 months, and 29 days. She is survived by her children: Yvonne (Cary) Schmidt of Burnsville, LuAnn (Mark) Parrish of New Prague, and Lee (Jackie) Stock of Olivia; four grandchildren: Sarah Schmidt de Carranza, Kate Schmidt, Kayla Stock, and Kalley Stock; one great-grandchild, Ivis Funez; sister-in-law, Bette Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Luella Bryan; husband, Harry Stock on May 31, 2015; sister, Joan (Jim) Katzenberger; brother, Roger Bryan; and Harry’s brothers and sisters: Bernice (Harold) Van Winkle, Irene (Floyd) Johnson, Henry (Lillie) Stock, Vera (Wayne) Rohloff, and Wally (Julie) Stock.
