Diane Marie Jensen, 74, died at her home in Benson, Minnesota, on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Benson City Cemetery. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Diane Marie Jensen was born on May 8, 1948, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Sidney Telford and Hazel Ione Larson Olson. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. She grew up in Benson and graduated from Benson Senior High School.
On February 18, 1967, Diane was united in marriage to Harlan Dennis Jensen in Milbank, South Dakota. She worked at the Benson Bakery, Finger Hut, Flour City, daycare in her home, Sears and Robuck, and Meadow Lane Nursing Home until her retirement. She was a member of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church.
Diane loved trips to the casino, playing BINGO!, and gardening. She enjoyed eating Klub whenever she got the chance and camping on Pelican Lake in Glenwood. She loved spending time with her family especially watching her grand kids and great grand kids. She was called from this life on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at her home in Benson. She attained the age of 74 years, 1 month, and 18 days.
She is survived by her daughters Marie (David) Benson of Hinckley, and Sherri (Wesley) Watkins of Benson; six grandchildren, Justin Jensen, Tyler Jensen, Johnny Benson, Joshua Benson, Dakota Watkins, and Raelynn Watkins, five great grand kids, Kaylee Jensen, Tyson Jensen, Kaleb Jensen, Kai Jensen, and Emma Watkins; her siblings, Judy (Tom) Teske, Neil (Carol) Olson, Duane (Cindy) Olson, Shirley (DuWayne) Olson, and Adele (Tom) Schmit; and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Hazel, her husband Harlan, her brother Steve Olson, a baby brother, a niece Erin, and many cousins. Blessed be her memory.
