Donald “Donnie” Alan Skoglund

Donald A. “Donnie” Skoglund 71, died at his home in Benson, on Sunday, October 19. Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 2 pm, on Friday October 24, 2025, at Bethesda Lutheran Church rural Murdock, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will be in the Bethesda Lutheran Church Cemetery.Donald Alan Skoglund was born on March 28, 1954, in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Reuben and Frances (Henjum) Skoglund. He grew up on the farm near Murdock, Minnesota. He graduated from Murdock High School and later from Jackson Technical College. Donnie was united in marriage to Jeanette Marie Hylland on August 11, 1973, at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, Minnesota. This union was blessed with over 46 years of marriage and 3 daughters.Donnie and Jean raised their girls in Buffalo, Minnesota and Murdock. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. He was called from this life on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his home at Scandi Haven Village in Benson.Donnie is survived by his daughters Angie (Jason) Case of Lakeville, Carrie (Brad) Wingo of Monroe, OH and Hollie (Loren) Molenaar of Raymond; grandchildren Ellie & Reece Wingo, Luca Molenaar; step-grand children Allie & Sydney Case; and siblings Joyce (Ralph) Robasse, Milton (Eileen) Skoglund, Marilyn (Stanley) Freese, Morrie (Sarah) Skoglund, and Sheryl (Larry) Nelson. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean, his parents Frances and Reuben Skoglund, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Myrtle and Arthur Hylland. Blessed be his memory.
