Donna Mae Borstad

Donna Mae Borstad, age 88, of Appleton passed away Monday, November 14, 2022, in Appleton Area Health-Care Center.  Donna's family will greet family and friends from 4-6 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2022, at Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton.  No formal funeral service will be held.  Interment will be in Appleton City Cemetery.

Donna Mae Borstad was born May 15, 1934, at home, in Kragero, Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota, the daughter of Lloyd and Ruth (Nelson) Roberts.  She attended school, first in Milan, and then in Appleton, where she graduated, Class of 1953.  Donna was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Virgil Borstad, on July 9, 1955, at First Congregational Church in Appleton, by Rev. Lee State.  This union was blessed with 35 years together and two children: Cheryl and Bryan.  The couple lived, worked, and raised their family in the Appleton area.  Donna enjoyed being a homemaker and seamstress.  She was a long-time member of First Congregation Church in Appleton.  Donna loved spending time with her family and friends.

Donna passed away November 14, 2022, in Appleton Area Health-Care Center.  She attained 88 years, 5 months, and 29 days of age.  Donna is survived by her children: Cheryl (Wade) Schmidt of Appleton and Bryan Borstad of Melrose; her 4 grandchildren: Kathryn (Tim) Culhane, Andrew (Hope) Schmidt, Haille Borstad, and Ella Borstad; her 4 great-grandchildren: Keegan Culhane, Caleb Schmidt, Gavin Culhane, and Audi Schmidt; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Borstad in 1990; her parents, Lloyd and Ruth Roberts; and her brother Donald Roberts.  Blessed be the memory of Donna Mae Borstad.
