Elias Rodriguez

Elias Rodriguez, age 60, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, while in Mexico.  Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2022, at Zniewski Funeral Home- Vaala Chapel in Appleton.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.  Burial will be at a later date.

Elias Rodriguez was born December 17, 1961, in Sweetwater, Texas, the son of Erasmo and Guadalupe Rodriguez.  He was raised in Raymondville, Texas, graduating from Raymondville High School, Class of 1979.  On June 14, 1988, Elias was united in marriage to Eduvilla “Martha” Vargas Romero in Raymondville.  This union was blessed with over 33 years together and seven children: Robert, Judy, Jennifer, Beverly, Thomas, Eric, and Diana.

Elias and Eduvilla moved to Minnesota and made their home in Milan but would spend the winter months in Mexico with family.  He was a long-time business owner of Rodriguez Trucking.  Elias enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with his family.  Elias passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, while visiting family in Mexico.  He attained 60 years, 2 months, and 14 days of age.

Elias is survived by his wife, Martha Rodriguez; his children: Robert (Cristina) Rodriguez; Judy Rodriguez, Jennifer Rodriguez, Beverly Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez, and Diana (Hector) Ramirez; his 15 grandchildren: Aaron, Jacob, Bella, Enzos, Damien, Kenzie, Dallas, Austin, Jadyn, Callen, Cody, Cata, Camilla, Owen, and Eli; his siblings: Roxanne, Paulo, Martin, Maribel, Maricela, Maria, and Erasmo Jr.; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erasmo and Guadalupe Rodriguez; his sister, Maria; and his brothers: Martin and Erasmo Jr.
