Pastor Jacob Holck and Pastor Caleb Hewitt will officiate. Burial will be in Artichoke Lake Baptist Cemetery.
Freda Kay Robertson was born December 26, 1946 in Maryville, Missouri to parents John Henry and Eva (Manchester) Maine. At the age of just 18 she moved to Minnesota answering an ad in the Farmer’s Almanac to help a farmer’s wife. This is where she met Whitey Robertson, a confirmed bachelor…they fell in love…and were married August 31, 1966. The couple made their home near Correll where they raised their four children. Freda and Whitey were hunters and trappers. She was very talented at skinning and stretching skins.
Freda was a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom. She was a “mom” to all of her kids’ friends. Freda adored her three grandchildren whom she helped raise and enjoyed being a part of their activities. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Freda recently moved to Granite Falls, from Appleton, to be closer to her kids. She enjoyed getting together for birthdays and holidays with her family and friends. Freda also enjoyed having coffee and playing bingo with her many friends. She was a joy to all she met.
Freda is survived by her children: Tammy Robertson of Clara City, Johnnie Robertson of Granite Falls, Jamie (Melanie) Robertson of Marshall, and Jeremy Robertson of Clara City; her grandchildren: Ryan Daniels, Robert (Cynthia Gerber) Daniels, Amy Thompson, Frances (Jennifer) Burch, and Michael (Hailey); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitey Robertson; her parents, Henry and Eva Maine; her sisters: Maxine Bradley and Deana Andrews; her brother, Raymond Maine; and special nephews.
Blessed be the memory of Freda Kay Robertson.
