James M. Wrobleski, age 69, of Benson, died on Friday, November 13, 2020, at the Swift County Benson Hospital. A visitation will be held from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm, at the Benson City Cemetery, on Friday, November 20, 2020, followed by a graveside service with Military Honors at 2:00 pm. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family with the arrangements.
James Michael Wrobleski was born on September 14, 1951, in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Frank and Loretta (Kidrowski) Wrobleski. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith. He grew up in Benson and graduated from Benson Senior High School and also Willmar Vo-Tech in Auto mechanics. James served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 serving in Amsterdam, Korea, and Germany.
On November 15, 1974, James was united in marriage to Linda Thompson in Madison Minnesota. This union was blessed with over 45 years of marriage and a daughter Angela. Jim worked at Appleton Furniture Company laying carpet and linoleum and also as a parts salesman at Auto Value in Benson for over 37 years.
Jim enjoyed watching football and boxing on TV, the History Channel, and making old things look new again. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was called from this life, Friday morning November 13, 2020 at the Swift County Benson Hospital. He attained the age of 69 years, 1 month, and 30 days.
Jim is survived by his wife Linda of Benson; a daughter Angela (and fiancé Everett) of Benson; siblings Jerome (Ruby) Wrobleski, Little Falls, Shirley Staton, Benson, Donald Wrobleski, Benson, Carol (Arden) Thompson, DeGraff, Marie (Bob) Lee, North Platte, NE, Mick (Marlene) Wrobleski, Benson, Larry (special friend Dee Dee) Wrobleski of Benson, and Rick (Roxanne) Wrobleski, Benson; mother-in-law Bonnie Thompson; brother-in-law Bob Thompson; also several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Loretta, sister Lynette Hippen, brothers Frank Jr Wrobleski and Kenny Wrobleski, infant brothers Eugene and Darcy Wrobleski, brother-in-law Ray Staton, sister-in-law Janet Wrobleski, niece Kayla Wrobleski, nephews Darcy Wrobleski. Blessed be his memory.
