Jeanette Gosson, 86, Benson, died on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the CentraCare Therapy Suites in Willmar. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, November 4, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the St. Malachy’s Catholic Cemetery in Clontarf. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Jeanette Elizabeth Gosson was born on January 19, 1939, in Madison, Minnesota, the daughter of Ordeman and Rita Kockelman Haukos. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Madison. She graduated from Benson Senior High School.
Jeanette was united in marriage to James Edward Gosson II, on October 3, 1959, at the St. Malachy Catholic Church in Clontarf, Minnesota. They then made their home in Benson, Minnesota.
Jeanette worked as an interior decorator for Home Interiors, and owned her own business for over ten years. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Malachy Catholic Church and St. Francis Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Francis women’s auxiliary and the VFW women’s Auxiliary.
Jeanette loved her family dearly, was very close to them all and she always did so much for them. Jeanette was a strong loving daughter, wife, mother and sister and she made sure family was the center of her universe. Jeanette was called from this life on Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025, at the CURA Therapy Suites in Willmar.
Jeanette is survived by her children, James Edward Gosson III and his wife RoxAnne of Mankato, Theresa Marie Gosson of Benson, Monica Jean Hippen and her husband Tim of Benson, Anthony James Gosson of Benson, and Mark Gosson and his wife Donna of Benson; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; her sister Marlene Berens of Benson and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband James Gosson II , her parents Ordy and Rita, grandson Jay Collins, a brother David Haukos, 2 infant siblings, and a niece Anita Berens. Blessed be her memory.
