Joseph Arvid Schesvold

Joseph Arvid Schesvold was born December 10, 1930, in Barron County, Wisconsin, the son of Peter H. and Bertha (Roen) Schesvold. He grew up in Barron County, Wisconsin, graduating from Rice Lake High School. He continued his education at Trinity Bible College and Trinity Seminary, which he attended before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

On August 16, 1953, Joseph was united in marriage to Jean Stone. He remarried June 20, 1997 to Sharon Stone.

Joseph was employed at Kiwi Coders in Chicago, Illinois for 49 years, and later worked at Wheeling Illinois.

Joseph is survived by his sons Thomas William (Deborah) Schesvold of Walnut, IL, and Stephen Kent (Joan) Schesvold of Benson, MN; and stepsons Peter Allen Bridges and Mark Andrew Bridges; five grandchildren: Joshua (Ezzy), Jennifer, Elizabeth (Robert), Jenny, and Jordan; and one great-grandchild Imogen.

He was preceded in death by his wives Jean Schesvold and Sharon Schesvold; parents Peter and Bertha Schesvold; three brothers: Norman, Reuben, and Robert; stepsons David Bridges and Michael Bridges, and grandson Matthew Schesvold.
