Kenneth Hans Larson, 67, Alexandria, formerly of Hopkins, Minn., died Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in Minneapolis, Minn. Visitation will be from 4–7 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2019, at First Evangelical Free Church in Benson. Visitation will continue from 10–11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019, at First Evangelical Free Church. Interment will be in the Benson City Cemetery.
Kenneth Hans Larson was born December 8, 1952 in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Leslie Fredrick “Red’ Sr. and Irene Adeline (Peterson) Larson. Ken was raised in Benson, graduating from Benson High School, Class of 1971. He served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974, where he was stationed in Germany. On July 16, 1977 he was united in marriage to Joyce Erickson at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Over the years, Ken worked at Reuter Mfg. in Hopkins, and Wal-Mart in Alexandria and Eden Prairie. He enjoyed hunting, camping, cooking, 4-wheeling, and traveling.
Ken passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Providence Place in Minneapolis. He attained 67 years and 10 days of age. Ken is survived by his children: Erin Larson of Bloomington and Brandon (Heather) Larson of Hopkins; caregiver, Joyce Larson of Bloomington; siblings: Leslie Jr. (Bev) Larson of Kimball, LeRoy Larson of Alexandria, Ronald (Barb) Larson of Benson, David Larson of St. Croix Falls, Roger (Pat) Larson of Mahtomedi, Eileen (Glen) Friedrich of St. James, Kevin Larson of Redwood Falls, Larry Larson of the Philippines, Randy Larson of Benson, and Donna (Gary) Olson of Dassel; sisters-in-law: Dolores Larson of Eden Valley and Marilyn Larson of Lake Lillian; 47 nieces and nephews; 70+ great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie Sr. and Irene Larson; brothers: Keith Larson and Dennis Larson. Blessed be the memory of Kenneth Hans Larson.
