Larry Duane Hilleren, 60, of Benson, Minn., died Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Meadow Lane Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Benson. Public Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in the Chapel in Benson. A private family funeral will follow. Public Graveside Interment will be at 1:45 pm in the Benson City Cemetery.
Larry Duane Hilleren was born April 26, 1960 in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Bert and Myrtle (Mills) Hilleren. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. He attended Benson High School and worked as a Machine Operator for his career. Larry loved to be around people and family. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, and singing. Larry was an avid sports fan of college and professional football, basketball and baseball, especially the U of M Gophers, the Vikings, and the Twins. He truly enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and car road trips.
Larry was called from this life on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Meadow Lane Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He is survived by his special friend Kendra Nelson; son Jay Hilleren; mother Myrtle Hilleren, brother Steven Hilleren, sister Debra Cramlet, all of Benson; brother David Hilleren of Albertville; sister Rebecca (Justin) Stottman of Leawood, KS; aunt Leona Ostenso of Benson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Hilleren on January 4, 2003; and his father Bert Hilleren. Blessed be his memory.
