Lillian Adelia Davidson

Lillian Adelia (Teigen) Davidson, 103, of Starbuck, Minn., died Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood. Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2020, in the Chapel of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. Use of masks is strongly encouraged for your and other’s health safety. Interment will be in the Benson City Cemetery.

Lillian Adelia Davidson was born February 21, 1917, in Cyrus, Minnesota, the daughter of Peder and Mina (Dahl) Teigen. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Petri Church in Cyrus. She grew up on a farm near Cyrus and completed District #11 Country School in New Prairie Township. Lillian was united in marriage to Clarence Orin Davidson on May 4, 1938 by Pastor Sverre Torgenson in the Lutheran Church parsonage in Morris. She worked at Howard’s Produce as an egg candler and in the kitchen at Southside Elementary School in Benson. She lived in Benson, Brooten and Glenwood after marriage and moved into Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck on July 19, 2013.

Lillian was active with Our Redeemer’s Women’s group. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, embroidery, dancing, polka and game shows on the television, card games, bingo, gardening, and cooking – especially Norwegian foods.

She passed on June 30, 2020 at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood and attained the age of 103 years, 4 months and 9 days. She is survived by her daughter, LeAnn (Eugene) Lysen of Benson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence on October 5, 1990; her parents; brothers, Olaf and Melvin Teigen; sisters, Myrtle Morin, Inga Brown, Gladys Kopitzke, Lyla Eliason, Thilda Teigen, and all of their spouses; and many nieces and nephews.
