Linda Marie Hanson, 73, of Benson, Minnesota, died on Sunday afternoon, November 2, 2025, at the CentraCare Hospital in Benson. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church Chapel, followed by the memorial service at 1:00 pm. Linda’s family asks that you join them for a meal at the Track bar and grill in Benson immediately following the memorial service. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family with the arrangements. Linda Marie Hanson was born July 1, 1952, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Chester and Lavina (Kvam) Hanson. She was baptized July 20, 1952. Linda grew up in Benson, attending school and graduating from Benson High School. She continued her education in Granite Falls, Minnesota, for a clerical degree and Willmar Community College in Willmar, Minnesota, where she received her Associate of Arts degree in social work.
Linda worked at various jobs, including a variety of Human Services jobs, a stint at Jennie-O-Foods for 12 years, as secretary for Ostbye & Anderson in Minneapolis, and spent many years taking care of her mother Lavina.
West Bank Lutheran Church was Linda’s haven until it closed in 1995. She enjoyed softball, was an avid reader, loved jigsaw puzzles and playing cards.
May we always remember Linda’s LOVE of fishing! She spent hundreds of hours fishing in the Chippewa River and on Lake Minnewaska. She often bragged she caught the largest walleye’s.
Linda died peacefully Sunday, November 2, 2025, at CentraCare-Benson Hospital in Benson, Minnesota. She was 73 years old. She is survived by her siblings: Roger (Heni) Hanson of Alexandria, Curt (Linda) Hanson of Blaine, and Kari (Jeff) Larson of Balsam Lake, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Linda in death were her parents Chester and Lavina Hanson, sister Sandra Erenberg, brother Brian Hanson, and nephews Luke Hanson and Anthony Erenberg.
