Myron Schliemann, age 78, of Appleton, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in his home. Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, February 25, 2022, at Word Fellowship Church in Appleton. Pastor Troy Bates will officiate. Burial will be in the Appleton City Cemetery. Myron Adolph Schliemann Sr. was born March 14, 1943, in Morris, Minnesota, the son of Manville and Renetta (Munsterman) Schliemann. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holloway and was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Correll. Myron attended grade school in Holloway and high school in Ortonville. He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam, where he was stationed aboard the USS Kittyhawk. Myron was united in marriage to Evelyn Marie Holiday on January 11, 1967. The couple raised six children together in Circle Pines, where he worked in the circuit board industry for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, watching television, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Myron passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in his home. He attained 78 years, 11 months, and 2 days of age. Myron is survived by his children: Sandy (Ron) Haugen of Coval, WV, Roxanne (Gary) Olson of Coon Rapids, Suzette Schliemann of Spring Lake Park, Myron Schliemann Jr. of Appleton, and Kari (Erik) Appenzeller of Appleton; his 10 grandchildren; his 5 great-grandchildren; his siblings: Donna (Gene) Anderson of Benson, Lorene Thomas of Lenard, ND, Alan (Jean) Schlieman of Benson; his brother-in-law, Arlyn Sachs of Otsego, MN; and two aunts, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manville and Renetta Schliemann; daughter, Lonetta “Cricket” Hoffman; granddaughters: Candace “Candy” Bruzak and Tina Bruzak; grandson, Aaron Kehoe; sister, Eunice Sachs; brother-in-law, Erland Wateland; nephew Miles Thomas; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
