Nancy Yvonne Alsaker, 59 of Benson, passed away Sunday morning, January 24, 2021 under hospice care at her home near Benson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are with the Zniewski Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Rice Hospice.

Nancy Yvonne Alsaker was born on March 11, 1961 in Willmar, Minnesota the daughter of Harris “Bill” Willard Jr. and Helen Mae (Anderson) Linder. She was baptized on April 9, 1961 at Bethel Lutheran Church by Reverend Robert Pearson and on November 7, 1976 she was confirmed at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar Senior High School on May 31, 1979. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from the University of Wisconsin – STOUT on August 5, 1983.
On August 1, 1998 Nancy was united in marriage to Gary Paul Alsaker at Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer, Minnesota by Robert N. Pearson. This union was blessed with over 22 years of marriage. She worked as a dietitian at the Willmar Clinic and Rice Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed working with and helping people.
Nancy loved animals, especially dogs. She also had cats, a hamster and a rabbit. In high school she participated in synchronized swimming, played the flute in the band, was in a one act play and sang in the school choir. She also performed with the Willmar Cardettes dance group and was a member of the Girl Scouts. Nancy loved camping, ice fishing, pontoon rides at the lake, car shows and Harley rides. She loved getting her hair and nails done and happy hours at the lake. She loved to travel, going to Florida, Arizona, Hawaii, Italy and horseback riding in Vienna. She had a stuffed animal collection of mice and Santa bears.
Nancy had a love for people; laughing with them and enjoying life. She was a positive person and she made the best of very tough health problems. She never complained, in fact, she was always more concerned about other people than herself. She was called from this life on Sunday morning, January 24, 2021 under hospice care at her home near Benson. She attained the age of 59 years, 10 months and 13 days.
She is survived by her husband, Gary of Benson; three brothers, Steve (Nancy) Linder of Excelsior, David (Laurie) Linder of Duluth and Canada and Paul (Lisa) Linder of Eden Prairie and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Harris “Bill” Jr. and Helen Linder, and a brother, Ron Linder. Blessed be her memory.
