Nancy Elaine Kellner

Nancy Elaine Kellner, 73, Benson, MN, died Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at The Legacy Assisted Living in Morris, MN. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2023.

Nancy Elaine Kellner was born November 3, 1949, to Robert and Bernice (Neuhaus) Johnson, in Montevideo, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in 1963 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Danvers, MN.  Nancy grew up in Danvers, MN. She attended and graduated from Benson High School in 1967. After high school she attended Alexandria Vo-Tech for accounting.

On April 18, 1970 Nancy married Bob Kellner. Their union was blessed with two children, Nantina and Nathan, and four grandchildren: Dylan, Sophia, Ally, and Cole.

Nancy lived and worked in Montevideo, Danvers, Alexandria, Minneapolis, and Benson. She held jobs at R & N Brass, State Bank of Danvers, and as an accounting clerk with the City of Benson.

Nancy had many hobbies and interests. Among them were shopping, gardening, cooking, baking, traveling, decorating, hosting parties and entertaining friends, and relaxing at the lake. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Nancy passed away on September 12, 2023 at The Legacy Assisted Living in Morris, MN at the age of 73.

Nancy is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Nantina (Boe) DeToy of Morris, MN, son Nathan (Lindsay) Kellner of Maple Grove, MN, and four grandchildren: Dylan DeToy, Sophia DeToy, Ally Kellner, and Cole Kellner. She is also survived by her sister Carrie (Tim) Hughes of Danvers, MN, brother Charles (Sue) Johnson of Benson, MN, brother-in-law Roger Mohrman of Alexandria, MN, and sister-in-law Edith Kellner of Mound, MN.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Bernice Johnson, her in-laws Lyle and Ione Kellner, sister Marlene Mohrman, brother-in-law Dennis Kellner, and nephew Peter Hughes.
