Ora Lindahl, age 99, of Appleton, died Saturday, December 28 in Appleton Area Health –Care Center. Visitation will be held from Noon-1 p.m., followed by a private family funeral service on Saturday, January 4 at Zniewski Funeral Home –Vaala Chapel in Appleton. Pastor Roger Fears will officiate. Burial will be in the Appleton City Cemetery.
Ora Marie Lindahl was born to Oscar and Olga (Golden) Lindahl on March 22, 1920. She was confirmed by the Reverend ES Belgum of Zion Lutheran Church. Ora graduated from Appleton High School in May, 1938. She then worked as a bookkeeper at the Appleton Creamery. After this, she worked for a chiropractor in Montevideo as a bookkeeper and medical assistant. When her mother's health was affected by arthritis, Ora returned home to care for her. Ora liked to sew and read. She enjoyed listening to talk radio and playing the organ. Her passion was crocheting. Ora was a very private person and desired this in the simplicity of her life and departure.
Ora passed away Saturday, December 28 in Appleton Area Health –Care Center. She attained 99 years, 9 months, and 6 days of age. Ora is survived by her sister-in-law, Lyndell Lindahl; her nephews: Curtis Lindahl, Dennis Lindahl, Douglas Lindahl, and Arlo Lindahl; her nieces: Arlette Lindahl, Lori Schlueter, Mary Hoehn, Jean Thorson, Joan Fults and Annette Bruer; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Olga Lindahl; brother, Loren and his wife Avis Lindahl, and brother, Jurn Lindahl.
