Pamela Ann Borstad was born June 16, 1953 in Appleton, Minnesota, the daughter of Norton and Renetta “Nottie” (Gaulke) Lindstrom. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton. Pam was raised in Appleton where she graduated from Appleton High School, Class of 1971. After high school Pam attended Alexandria Vo-Tech for accounting. Upon completion, she was offered a full-time position at the Farmers & Merchants State Bank of Appleton, where she spent the next 46½ years before her retirement on January 31, 2019. Pam loved working at the bank, all the while providing customers with a smile and friendly service.
Pam was united in marriage to “the love of her life”, Phillip Borstad, on September 24, 1983 by Rev. Henry Buchholz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton. This union was blessed with 29 years together…her love and devotion to Phillip was endless. She was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Committee. Pam was a past-member of the Appleton Community Foundation. She enjoyed reading, cooking and liked to try new recipes.
Pam passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in her home. She attained 66 years, 4 months, and 20 days of age. Pam is survived by her mother, Renetta “Nottie” Lindstrom of Appleton; brother, Jerry (JoAnn) Lindstrom of Brooten; brother-in-law, Gary (Monica) Borstad of Appleton; sister-in-law, Marcy (Dave) Basten of Grantsburg, WI; four nephews: Eric (Kristin) Lindstrom of Bismarck, ND, Mike (Tammie) Borstad of Appleton, Ryan (April) Borstad of Appleton, and Jacob (Chrissy Westman) Irgens of Cambridge; three nieces: Jennifer Lindstrom of Detroit Lakes, Amanda (Nick) Wood of Moorhead, and McKenzie (Brandon) Dahl of Frederic, WI; seven great-nephews; eight great-nieces; uncle, Terry (Joanne) Lindstrom of Sioux Falls, SD; numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Borstad, on August 18, 2012; her father, Norton Lindstrom; parents-in-law, Galen and MaryAnn Borstad; her paternal and maternal grandparents; and great-nephew, Porter Dahl;
