Paulyne Gonzalez

Paulyne Gonzalez, age 83 of Appleton, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in her home. A private, family interment will be held at a later date.

Paulyne J. Gonzalez was born August 26, 1940, in Worthington, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank N. Loewen and Bernetta (Huffman) Loewen. She grew up in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, where she attended Mountain Lake Christian School and later graduated from Mountain Lake High School.

February 20, 1998, Paulyne married Carlos Carrillo Gonzalez in Walla Walla, Washington. Paulyne lived and worked in Oregon and Minnesota. When she retired, she resided in Appleton, Minnesota. She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. John’s Catholic Church and enjoyed baking, sewing, politics, and walking on the beach.

Paulyne is survived by her children: Frank (Kathy) Szabó of Appleton, MN, Eva Szabó of Challis, ID, Grable Szabó of Columbia, SC, Gary Anderson of Springfield, OR, and Becky Anderson of Chanhassen, MN; seven grandchildren: Brandon, Jessica, Levi, Hanna, Steven, Stephanie, and Jessica; and six great-grandchildren; siblings: June Bock of Amarillo, TX, Judy Wager of Fountain Head, SC, Paul Hickle of Hinckley, MN, Patty Welch of St. Paris, OH, Frank Zier of Phoenix, AZ, Bonnie Mitchell of El Cajon, CA, and Pam Nichol of Ely, MN.

Paulyne was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Bernetta Loewen and her sister Betty Loewen.
