Peter A. Wlazlak, 56, of Benson died on Saturday evening, September 10, 2022, at his home in Benson. A memorial motorcycle run will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Those who wish to participate can meet the family at Ambush park in Benson at shelter #1 and kickstands will go up at 1:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 29, at 3:00 pm at the Benson City Cemetery. Please bring your lawn chairs. If inclement weather that day the Gathering space at St. Francis Catholic Church will serve as an alternate location. In lieu of flowers donations preferred. Peter Allan Wlazlak was born on March 29, 1966, in Seattle, Washington, the son of Leo and April Lee Wlazlak. The family moved to Benson, Minnesota, where Pete grew up and attended Benson Senior High School graduating with the class of 1984. Pete served his country by enlisting in the United States Army on November 15, 1984. He was stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged on December 29, 1987.


Pete worked as a welder and was very creative with his welding skills. He loved riding his Harley and enjoyed nature. He loved talking to people about his love for Jesus and wasn’t ashamed to share his faith with others. He was called home from this life on Saturday evening, September 10, 2022, at his home in Benson.


Pete is survived by his aunts Maryanne (Raymon) Luschen of Benson, Susan Pierce of Troy, Montana, Marla (Gaylen) Thompson of Pennock and Madeline (Clinton) Raasch of Willmar and several other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Blessed be his memory.
