Ronald Forrest Mills

Ron (Ronald) Forrest Mills has been received into the arms of Jesus. He passed away at Buffalo Hospital in Buffalo, Minnesota, due to health complications. He was born June 9, 1944 in the Benson Hospital to Forrest Clifford Mills and Loretta Agnes Burns.

Ron was a graduate of Benson High School, class of 1963. He was inducted into the army in July 1963. He married Rosemary Werner on August 14, 1965. He worked as a machinist at Tyler Corporation and then at Case New Holland as a chute man on the cotton pickers.

Known for his sociable nature, Ron made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed gardening, spending time outside, playing music for his family, dancing, playing cards, grilling, building a playground at the farm for the grandchildren, decorating their country home for Christmas, and spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, he enjoyed sharing Jesus with everyone he met. He was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Benson.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Forrest and Loretta Mills, his brother Donald Mills, and infant son Roger Mills.

Ron is survived by his wife Rosemary; son Timothy Mills (Cindy); daughters Marie (Randy) Staffanson and Susan (Brad) Morse; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters Myrtle Hilleren and Leona Ostenso.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024, with a visitation preceding from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Lake Ridge Senior Health Living Center in Buffalo, Minnesota with Pastor Jason Wolter and Vicar Bradley Asmus officiating and Pastor Joel Pike providing music. Interment will be at Appleton City Cemetery. Zniewski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
