Rosemary Ann Chamberlain was born on February 26, 1926, in Larkin Township, Nobles County, Minnesota, to John Lawrence and Susie Ann (Schwartz) Becker. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady Catholic Church in Wilmont, Minnesota. Rosemary grew up in the Wilmont and Clontarf, Minnesota, areas and attended school in Clontarf through the eighth grade. She spent a big share of her life raising six children. She also worked at Northway Grocery in Benson for many years.
On November 25, 1946, Rosemary was united in marriage to Vincent I. Chamberlain by Father Richard King at St. Malachy’s Catholic Church in Clontarf. They were blessed with six children (one son and five daughters), fourteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Rosemary and Vincent farmed in rural Clontarf until Vincent passed away on February 23, 1964. Rosemary and family moved to Benson in 1965.
Rosemary always enjoyed attending church. She loved BINGO, fishing, bowling, and watching sports on television, especially the Minnesota Twins. Rosemary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed cheering them on at activities and sporting events. Rosemary loved family picnics and visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always happy to see them and had a kind word for everybody.
Rosemary is survived by her one son Robert (Gail) Chamberlain and five daughters: Dianne (Gene) Estensen, Patricia Froland, Susan (Tom) Frikken, Mary (Bob) Neuman, and Karen (Doug) Manzke; sister-in-law Loretta Becker; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
