Sandra loved reading cookbooks, the cooking part not so much; however she was famous for her potato salad recipe. She enjoyed going to garage sales, dining out, and attending shows at the Barn Theater and other plays. She loved her family especially bragging about her grandchildren and annoying her children. She was up for any adventure her kids or friends wanted to take her on. After she retired, Sandy volunteered at Prairie Five.
