Scott Schuerman

Scott Schuerman, 53, died on Tuesday afternoon, August 2, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson, and will continue, Monday, August 8, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Benson City Cemetery. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Scott Schuerman was born on April 18, 1969, in Benson, MN, the son of Dennis Schuerman and Myrt (Knutson) McCarthy. He was baptized at the Danvers Lutheran Church and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Scott lived in Little Falls where he attended and graduated from high school. He went on to own his own business in landscaping and hauling wood.

Scott lived in Little Falls, Benson, and most recently in Sartell, MN. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching sports, Nasar racing, heavy metal concerts, and he loved his service dog “Sammy”.

He was called from this life on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital. He attained the age of 53 years, 3 months, and 14 days.

Scott is survived by his mother, Myrt McCarthy; siblings: Steve (Angela) Schuerman of Starbuck, Nancy (Tom) Moline of Sauk Rapids, Lori (Pat) Hawley of Benson, Marcia Schuerman of Glenwood, Jacqueline (special friend, Randy Johnson) Schuerman of Sauk Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Schuerman; Stepfather, Mike McCarthy; and grandparents: Julius & Hazel Schuerman, and Richard & Ingeborg Knutson. Blessed be his memory.
