Theresa Jerve, age 51, of Appleton, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, in her home. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton. Visitation will resume from 10-11 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m., Friday, November 19, 2021, at First Congregational Church in Appleton. Pastor Herbert Rotunda will officiate. Burial will be in Church of the Visitation Catholic Cemetery in Danvers.
Theresa Mary Jerve was born August 17, 1970, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Clyde and Arlene (Rundle) Hughes. She was baptized at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson and was confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church in Appleton. Theresa was raised in the Danvers and Appleton areas, graduating from Appleton High School in 1989. She was united in marriage to Charles Jerve on October 6, 2018, in Appleton.
Theresa worked at Appleton Area Health in the Nursing Home for many years, worked as a cashier at Sinclair and Cenex, and was a Para-Professional at the Appleton Elementary School. She enjoyed spending time, babysitting or just hanging-out, with all of her nieces and nephews. Theresa liked to crochet, watch T.V., and bake goodies for the Holidays. She loved to spend quality time with her sons…and definitely liked to brag about them!
Theresa passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, in her home. She attained 51 years, 2 months, and 27 days of age. Theresa is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Jerve of Appleton; children: Thomas Guse of Appleton, Joshua (Katie Eben) Guse of Wahpeton, ND, Braydon Jerve of Mankato, Kendrick Jerve of Hutchinson, and Kayleigh Jerve of Mankato; two grandchildren: Madison Jerve and Colton Jerve; siblings: Debra (John) Dixon of Belgrade, Douglas (Sandy) Hughes of Hastings, Vince Hughes of Milan, Sandi (Rob) Robinson of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Lisa (Craig) Bohlman of Appleton, Brenda Hughes of St. Peter, Linda (Chris) Cromartie of Wilmont, NC, Sue Greig of Motley, Mary (Aaron) Prigge of Paynesville, and Joseph Hughes of Kinsley, Kansas; sister-in-law, Jolie (John) Polacek of Doylestown, OH; aunts and uncles; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Arlene Hughes; brother, Steven Hughes; nephew, Jacob Hughes; step-father, Arnie Lokken; and mother-in-law, Jane Jerve.
