The family lived in Nebraska for five years until they moved to a farm near Pipestone, Minnesota, and then to a farm near Marietta, Minnesota. Wilma attended St. Michael’s Catholic School in Madison, Minnesota and graduated from Madison High School in 1952. After graduation, she was employed by Western Guard. In November of 1953, Wilma married Ronald Schreck. They were blessed with seven children: Barbara, Janet, Gregory, Carol, Alan, Debra, and Wayne.
Wilma was employed by Prairie Sun Bank for 32 years, where she loved working, and enjoyed the interaction with community members. She was a volunteer driver for Prairie IV and an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She was active in the Appleton VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a VFW Bingo caller for years.
