Kevin and Judy TeBeest

Licensed Funeral Directors & Owners

Kevin and Judy were born and raised in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School. Kevin received his degree in mortuary science from the University of Minnesota in 1985 before joining Anderson Funeral Home in 1992. Judy also graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1985 and in 2014, completed the mortuary science program from the Des Moines Area Community College. In addition to being a licensed mortician, Judy is also trained as a funeral celebrant, a Certified Professional in Funeral Planning, a licensed social worker, and holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Southwest Minnesota State.

Kyle TeBeest

Licensed Funeral Director

Born and raised in Montevideo, Kyle attended Montevideo High School and graduated in 2012. He then pursued a degree in Mortuary Science at the University of Minnesota, graduating from the program in 2016. Kyle worked at Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, MN, until July 2017, when he joined the family firm. He currently holds a funeral director's license in both Minnesota and South Dakota. Kyle has served on the Montevideo Chamber Board of Directors for many years and is a Montevideo Chamber Admiral. He is also a member of the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association Board of Directors, serving as secretary on the executive board. Additionally, Kyle serves on the Granite Falls Lutheran Church Council. Kyle is married to Camille TeBeest, and they reside in Granite Falls with their three children: Campbell, Carsyn, and Kade. Both Kyle and Camille are active members of their community and cherish the relationships they have built since returning to the area.

Kurt TeBeest

Licensed Funeral Director

Born and raised in Montevideo, Kurt attended Montevideo High School and graduated in 2017. He first attended North Dakota State University to pursue a degree in Management. After graduating from NDSU in the spring of 2021, Kurt moved to the Twin Cities, where he attended the University of Minnesota to obtain his degree in Mortuary Science. Following his graduation in 2023, Kurt started his career in the metro area, working at Bradshaw Funeral Homes and Metro First Call. Kurt married his wife, Alyssa, in June of 2024 and immediately moved back to Montevideo to begin their married life, which now includes their yellow lab, Millie. In his free time, Kurt enjoys spending time on the golf course and traveling with his wife. In addition to being a funeral director, Kurt is a Certified Crematory Operator and a Certified Funeral Celebrant.

Lynette Ray

Pre-Need Specialist

Lynette was born and raised in Pipestone, Minnesota. She graduated from SDSU with a B.S. in Business Administration. In 1983, she and her husband, Rick, moved to Montevideo, where they raised their three sons, Thomas, Shane, and Tyler. Lynette worked as the Inside Sales Manager at MTI for 35 years before joining the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home. She loves spending time creating memories with her four grandsons, Grant, Gage, Jace, and Oliver.

Jeremy Abrego

Licensed funeral director Certified Celebrant

Jeremy was born on September 22, 1969, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, where he graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1988. He attended the University of Minnesota, majoring in Mortuary Science, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in 1992. Jeremy has worked as a Funeral Director at the Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield, Minnesota, and in Worthington, Minnesota, prior to joining the Zniewski Funeral Home Staff in April of 2008. Jeremy and his wife Shellie have three children and enjoy their lives in Benson. In the winter of 2021 he attended the insight institute program to become a certified funeral celebrant and is passionate about helping tell your loved one's story.

Dennis Minor

Funeral Assistant

Dennis Minor, Funeral Assistant, joined the Zniewski Funeral Home staff in 2007. He also works for the United States Postal Service. He and his wife Ann are lifelong Benson residents.

Kristen Smith

Funeral Assistant

Kristin Smith,Funeral Assistant, joined the Zniewski Funeral Home staff in 2014. Prior to that she worked Appleton Area Health Services as a receptionist and scheduler. Her husband Dan farms in the Holloway area. She enjoys spending time with their family, helping Dan on the farm, and gardening.

Bonnie Owens

Funeral Assistant

Bonnie Owens, Funeral Assistant, joined the Zniewski Funeral Home staff in 2014. Prior to that she worked for Dr. Kabatay for 33 years as his nurse in Appleton. Her husband Mike farms in the Holloway area. She enjoys spending time with their children and grandchildren.
