Donald Dean Miller

Donald Dean Miller was born January 8, 1938, in Springfield, Minnesota, the son of Clifford and Mabel (Kyar) Miller. He was a very hardworking man and a loving, devoted father. Don loved playing golf, listening to country music, bowling, cooking, and deer hunting. He was a long-time resident of Benson, Minnesota.

Don’s career included working for Toro, Corporation, in Windom, Minnesota, farming in the Benson area, working at a chicken egg farm near Starbuck, Minnesota, running a construction company (Sturdy Construction) near Benson, Minnesota, working at a turkey farm near Kerkhoven, Minnesota, and running a café in Pennock, Minnesota. In Florida, Don worked with a surveying company and drove for a trucking company before he retired. A happy and loving man, he will be missed.

Don died of natural causes Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the Appleton Area Health Services in Appleton, Minnesota. He was 87 years old.

Don is survived by his wife Patricia (Renczykowski) Miller of Benson, MN, children: Julie (Miller) Suess of Benson, MN, Tom Miller of Niceville, FL, Peggy Miller of Navarre, FL, and Pam (Miller) Boots of Ortonville, MN; eight grandchildren: Nathan, Wade, Shawn, Rebecca, Michael, Maria, Jackie, and Jake; 11 great-grandchildren; and sibling Arla Miller of Crystal, MN.

Don was preceded in death by his father and mother Clifford and Mabel Miller, four brothers: Glen, Lee, Alton, Kenny, and sister Bernice.

Per Don’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
